Hope you are going to enjoy this beautiful weekend after the challenging February. It has been difficult for all of us, no matter where you are on this planet. The whole world is so connected, more than any other moment in history of mankind. We, in the normal and peaceful time, hardly feel the implicit connections that essentially exist between us and the people from the farthest lands. Such feelings would be evoked from the deep down of our hearts in the time of crisis. I'm grateful that we support each other this whole time, even though we are separated by continents and oceans.
Shenzhen is it getting warmer. It seems that summer has come earlier than usual. I wish I could bring you some of Shenzhen’s sunlight as a token of my ample gratitude. I know you miss VMA, because I feel my strong emotion of missing all of you. I believe they are so much alike.
You have never ceased to amaze me, and this is one of the moments when I realize what a privilege it is to have this wonderful team at VMA. We have accomplished so much with the E-Learning because you are open-minded, flexible, and always fight for the best of our students. Online schooling is a challenge for us, due to the Internet, platforms and time differences. It requires lots of accommodating and sacrifices. But you have persevered! It is overwhelmed with notices, surveys and reports, no need to mention the health updates every single day! To be frank, that is how I feel TOO!
But we made it! We have come this far; along the way we have set good examples to our students of courage and perseverance. They are learning from the best!
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair." It is the hard times that put the shines into diamonds, and now It is time for mankind to reflect on a bigger picture of the planet, extract wisdom from life, and embrace the spring of hope.
Dear colleagues, I miss all of you, every single one! Please stay safe and enjoy whatever life brings us, and cheer up!
