A Letter from the Dean

At VMA students truly have the ability to SOAR!  With more than 200 courses offered through 4 different diploma pathways (American AP, Cambridge A-Level, Visual Arts or Performing Arts), students can find the right program tailored to maximize their academic strengths

By blending the Chinese National and Liberal Arts curriculums together, VMA students have the advantage in overseas college admissions. Courses are offered on different levels, regular & honors/AP, to ensure academic success across all departments.  Unique study abroad programs in Finland, Spain, and Germany provide global learning experiences. Highly motivated and top performing students are eligible for special programs due to our partnerships with Tsinghua and MIT, Columbia International College & the University of Toronto, and the Goethe Institute in Germany.

Beyond academics, VMAers can use their strengths to create opportunities that enhance their own identity through participation and leadership in sports, clubs, competitions, and experiential learning and community outreach programs. Being well rounded and confident, VMAers aspire to be who they want to be in and out of the classroom, ensuring they achieve the desired results – admissions to top colleges abroad.  Once admitted to VMA, you are on the path to SOAR to success!

In service to students,

Dr. Maryann O’Brien
